What are the gross and net weights of a shipment?

Gross and net weights are published per item so you can plan freight, insurance and unloading without waiting for a packing list. The table below is representative of the current range; confirm the figure against the exact version you order.

Item	Gross weight	Net weight	Note
white aluminium armchair	28.2 kg (6-chair carton)	23.7 kg (6-chair carton)	about 3.95 kg net per chair
white round tube armchair	17 kg	15 kg
extendable table	45.5 kg	39.5 kg
5-piece set	84 kg (B1) / 80 kg (B2) / 64 kg (C1) / 68 kg (C2, D1)	74 kg (B1) / 70 kg (B2) / 63 kg (C1) / 63 kg (C2, D1)	multi-configuration
4-piece set	71 kg per set	66 kg per set
6-piece corner set	90 kg	85 kg

- A: How to read the figures - The gap between gross and net is the carton and internal packing, so the gross figure is the one to use for freight and manual handling.

- B: Multi-configuration lines - On multi-configuration lines the weight follows the configuration, as shown, so confirm the weight against the version you are ordering.

Gross and net weights

Net weight is the product alone; gross weight adds the carton and protective packing. We list both on the packing list so your forwarder can quote freight and your warehouse can plan handling.

Why it matters

Heavy bases dominate shipment weight, while bulky canopies dominate volume. Balancing the two in a container is how we keep your per-unit freight low. We share weight tables per SKU before booking.
