Commercial umbrella & furniture warranty
Every Foris Hortus umbrella and furniture line is built for contract use, and each order ships with a written warranty against manufacturing defects. The table below shows the standard coverage bands we apply; your signed quotation and order contract state the exact terms that bind the shipment.

Standard coverage at a glance
| Component | Standard coverage | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Aluminium frame & mast | 3 years | Structural failure, weld and powder-coat defects under normal use. |
| Canopy fabric | 2 years | Manufacturing defects in weave and coating; colour-fastness per the fabric grade specified. |
| Ribs, hubs & fittings | 1 year | Defects in moving and connecting hardware supplied with the frame. |
| Opening mechanism (crank / push-pull) | 1 year | Mechanical defects in the lift and locking system. |
| LED lighting (where fitted) | 1 year | Driver and strip defects under correct low-voltage use. |
Coverage periods above are standard references for commercial projects. Longer terms are available on some frame and acrylic programmes - confirm the exact duration and what is included for your specification before ordering.
Coverage by component
Frame & structure
Powder-coated aluminium masts and ribs are covered against structural and finish defects for three years of commercial service.
Canopy fabric
Polyester, olefin and acrylic canopies are covered against manufacturing defects, with fade performance set by the fabric grade on the order.
Hardware & lighting
Cranks, fittings, bases and LED kits are covered for one year against defects in the supplied components.
What the warranty does not cover
Damage to an open canopy in wind above the agreed closing speed - most commercial umbrella damage happens to frames left open in wind.
Normal wear, fading beyond the rated grade, and staining from food, pool chemicals or pollution.
Improper installation, unauthorised modification, or use outside the specified base and fixing method.
Acts of nature, theft, and transit damage reported outside the agreed acceptance window.
How to make a claim
Report
Send photos of the defect with the order and canopy part numbers within the coverage window.
Assess
We confirm whether the fault is a manufacturing defect and which component is affected.
Resolve
We supply replacement parts, a repair kit, or a replacement canopy matched to the original colour.
Document
The resolution and any part numbers are recorded so repeat orders stay consistent.
Send your layout, quantity and required warranty level, and we return a quotation with the exact coverage written into the contract.
Binding terms are those printed in your signed quotation and order contract. The periods on this page are standard references and may differ by programme and market.
