Branding that survives the season
Foris Hortus prints logos on umbrellas for hotels, restaurant groups and resorts, and matches canopy and frame colors to your brand. Canopy printing is placed around the panels in up to eight positions, by silk screen or digital printing, with printed handles, color-matched cast aluminium parts above 500 pieces, and retail-ready cartons using your own artwork.

How the logo goes on the canopy
Four things decide how a printed canopy looks: where the print sits, how many panels carry it, how large it prints and which printing method is used.
Where the logo goesOn the canopy panel that faces the seating side, or along the hanging valance below the canopy edge
How many panels carry itOne single panel, four alternating panels, or all eight panels right around the canopy
How large it printsFrom a small mark on one panel up to a print that spans the full width of the panel
Which printing methodSilk screen for flat spot color on repeat orders, digital printing for blended detail on shorter runsWhere a logo can go
Every position below is planned before the fabric is cut, so the logo reads correctly from the seating side. These are the placements hotel, restaurant and resort customers order most.
Beyond the canopy: the pole and the metal parts
The canopy carries most of the branding, but it is not the only surface. The pole can be printed or finished to the same reference as the cloth, and above 500 pieces the cast aluminium parts move to that reference as well.

A wood-grain aluminium pole with a colour-matched band under a cast pivot joint, shot in our own studio rather than licensed.

The cast hub, the rib sockets and the hardware that ties each rib to the frame. This is the part that gets matched to your canopy above 500 pieces.
Which umbrellas take branding
Ten models across the umbrella range carry a logo specification. These six cover all three structures and show what each one can carry. The size shown is the standard range for the model, and every model can also be quoted in a custom size.
Centre pole, 2.5 m to 4 mEight ribs and a 48 x 1.8 mm pole, which is what lets the same mark repeat right around all eight panels. Logo on canopy corners and valance.
Roman centre pole, 2.1 x 2.1 m and 3 x 3 mDouble tier canopy with the logo on the canopy corners and the valance. Integrated LED lighting is optional on the same frame.
Commercial centre pole, 3 x 3 m to 5 x 5 mCrank handle and 360 degree swivel, 86 x 86 x 2.4 mm pole and 300 g fabric. OEM logo on canopy corners and valance.
Centre pole, 3 x 3 m to 3 x 4 mWood-grain aluminium pole and UPF 50+ fabric. Custom logo printing available on the canopy.
Side pole with crank handle and adjustable tilt65 x 65 x 2.0 mm pole. The only model in this set whose customisation covers the canopy, the corners and the pole itself.
Large Roman, 3 x 4 m to 5 x 5 mReinforced cast aluminium frame with gas-spring assisted opening, in wood-grain or plain finish. What the print has to survive
A printed canopy lives outdoors, in sun and in weather, and it gets cleaned along with the rest of the terrace. Three things decide how long the print keeps reading correctly, and all three are settled before production.
The cloth underneath
Print sits on the fabric, so the fabric sets the ceiling. Our canopies are quoted at colour fastness EU standard 6 and US 4, with a PU or PA coating and a UV index from uv30 to uv80. On a terrace that sees full sun all day, ask for the higher UV figure and a yarn dyed cloth.
The ink system
Silk screen lays a flat, opaque film. It is the right choice for solid spot colour, which is what most hotel and restaurant marks are, and it holds its edge on repeat orders. Digital printing reproduces blended detail and gradients on shorter runs. If the print will face full sun or be cleaned often, say so at enquiry and the ink and the fabric are specified together rather than separately.
The position on the canopy
A print on a panel that faces full sun all afternoon fades before one that sits under a valance. Sending us the orientation of the terrace and the hours of direct sun is more useful than sending the artwork alone.

Light through the weave of a canopy, seen from below. The cloth, not the ink, is what sets how long a print stays readable.
Replacing a canopy later
Replacement canopies are made to the original size, fabric and colour, and the standard ranges stay available for five years after purchase, with common parts shipping in about seven days. A branded canopy damaged in year three can be replaced to match the rest of the site rather than re-branded from scratch.
How to prepare a branded order
Four steps take a brand guideline to a printed canopy. Approve the color first, then the print.
1. Send artwork and reference
Vector logo, color reference and the panels you want printed. A sketch of the reading direction helps.
2. Approve the print proof
Position, print size and color are confirmed on a layout before anything is cut.
3. Approve the physical sample
A dyed swatch and a printed sample are submitted, because screens vary and cloth changes a color.
4. Lock the packaging
Cartons, stickers and inner protection are set to your retail or project requirement.
Choose by situation
Do and avoid
Approving a color from a screen. Monitors vary and woven cloth shifts a tone, so always check the lab dip.
Cutting fabric before the print position is signed off. Repositioning after cutting is a new canopy.
Send vector artwork and a color reference, plus the panel numbers you want printed.
Keep the approved lab dip on file so later repeat orders match the first batch.
Choose your specification
Every line is a selectable option. Send the combination you need with your enquiry.
Screen printing suits repeat orders, digital printing suits smaller runs and detailed artwork. A frame color matched on cast aluminium parts is offered above 500 pieces.
Minimum order and lead time for a branded order
The minimum depends on how much of the umbrella changes, not on how many you want in total. Catalogue models start at 50 pieces. Once the cloth colour is matched to your reference and a logo goes on it, the minimum moves to 100 pieces.
| What is being customised | Minimum |
|---|---|
| Catalogue model, no change | 50 pcs |
| Light customisation: Pantone fabric colour, logo by screen print or heat transfer, custom handle | 100 pcs |
| Printed cartons | from 200 pcs |
| Structural: new size or shape, frame structure, base mounting, integrated LED | 300 pcs |
| Full OEM or ODM | quoted per project |
Two things bring the minimum down: sharing one fabric colour across several models, and repeating a specification we have already run. Colours and models can be mixed inside a single catalogue order.
Lead time
Stock models are produced in about 30 days. Where the fabric, the colour or the branding is custom, add around 10 days. A pre-production sample starts its clock when you approve the specification, so the fastest route to a printed canopy is approving the print layout and the colour reference at the same time.
Port to port, sailing takes about 18 to 25 days to the US West Coast, 30 to 35 days to the US East Coast and Northern Europe, 18 to 22 days to Jebel Ali and 15 to 20 days to Australia. From March to July, book container space about four weeks ahead. Chinese New Year closes production for around two weeks. We confirm the production slot when the deposit lands and send photos of the finished goods before shipment.
Frequently asked questions
Can you print our logo on every panel?Yes. Up to eight positions per canopy, in silk screen or digital printing, with the reading direction confirmed on a layout before production.
How do we match our brand color?Send a Pantone or RAL reference. We submit a lab dip swatch for approval and keep it on file for repeat orders.
Which printing suits a smaller order?Digital printing, because it does not need a screen per color and handles detailed artwork on shorter runs.
Can the packaging carry our branding?Yes. Color boxes, self-adhesive stickers and color printing on cartons are all available, with reinforced outer cartons for export.
Send your logo files, color reference, canopy size and the panels you want printed, and we return a print layout with a landed quotation.
