Shapes and sizes built to your layout
Choose the canopy shape and size, then send the layout. Foris Hortus builds to your dimensions: round canopies from dia 3.0 m, square and rectangular canopies from 2.1 x 2.1 m to 6 x 6 m, and multi-panel Roman or cantilever canopies up to 5 x 5 m.

Canopy size compared to scale
Footprints drawn to scale at 1 m = 20 px, so you can judge coverage before ordering. Add about 2 ft of shade beyond the seating on all sides.
How to choose the right size and shape
Four steps take you from the space you have to the canopy you need. Decide the four together, because canopy size, pole, base and mounting lock into each other.
Step 1: where to measure
Measure to the outer line of the chairs, not the table top.
Step 2: shade footprint
Seen from above: shade reaches about 2 ft past the seating on every side.
Step 4: pole, base and mounting
The pole has to fit the table hole and the base holder alike.
1. Measure the seating, not the table
Note the table size and how far the chairs pull out. The outer line is what the canopy has to cover.
2. Add 2 ft of shade on every side
Shade should reach about 2 ft past the seating, so no guest ends up on the sunlit edge.
3. Match the shape to the layout
Round for single tables, square for aligned rows, rectangular for long tables and narrow walkways.
4. Confirm pole, base and mounting
The pole has to fit both the table hole and the base holder. Larger canopies carry a heavier frame.

Do and avoid
Measuring the table top only. The chairs need shade too, or the outer seats sit in full sun.
Choosing the canopy first and the pole later. The pole must match the table hole and the base holder.
Send the wind exposure. An exposed site may need a heavier frame or a fixed mounting.
Decide the mounting method early: through-table, freestanding or in-ground.
Choose your specification
Every line is a selectable option. Send us the combination and we confirm frame, fabric and packing in the quotation.
Two options carry a volume threshold: a color matched to the frame on cast aluminium parts is offered above 500 pieces, and MOQ is adjusted to your order volume.

Frequently asked questions
What sizes can you customize?
Round dia 3.0 m and dia 3.3 m, square and rectangular from 2.1 x 2.1 m to 6 x 6 m including 3 x 4 m with gas-spring opening, and Roman or cantilever canopies in 3 x 4 m, 4 x 4 m and 5 x 5 m.
Can you make a shape that is not in your catalogue?
Yes. Send the footprint you need to shade. Round, square, rectangular, Roman 4-panel and offset cantilever are the most requested, with the pole position set for through-table, freestanding or in-ground mounting.
What is the minimum order for a custom size?
MOQ is flexible and depends on canopy size, frame section and whether a new mould or pattern is needed. Color-matched cast aluminium parts are offered above 500 pieces.
Which measurements do you need to quote?
Five numbers: table or zone size, pole diameter, clearance under the canopy edge, mounting method, and site wind exposure. Canopy size is then set so shade extends about 2 ft beyond the seating on all sides.
Send the shape and size combination you selected, and we return a matched frame, fabric and packing specification with a landed quotation.
