First Steps in Dubai: Our Outdoor Umbrella Overseas Debut
In January of 2023, we took our first trip to a Dubai trade show with our outdoor umbrellas.
Our booth was simple: we just set up a fringed striped umbrella in the middle and quickly laid out samples. When talking to local clients, our team used translation apps to explain the umbrella’s wind resistance, feeling a little awkward at first.
One buyer looked at the umbrella’s fringes for a long time. We worried he didn’t like it—until he smiled and said, “This is stylish. Our customers will love it.”
We had no fancy brochures, just honest conversations. That first show gave us our first overseas clients and taught us what global customers really want.
That umbrella in the photo? It’s where our international story began.
From Dubai to the Classroom: Ready to Shine Brighter
In that classroom, we turned those messy, real-world challenges into our most valuable lessons. We role-played how to clearly explain our supply chain’s speed and reliability to global buyers—using simple, visual examples instead of jargon. We also practiced how to align our sales, design, and production teams so we could respond faster to client needs, no matter where they were in the world.
When we did the high-five icebreaker in the workshop, it felt like a promise: we were no longer a group of individuals winging it in Dubai, but a team that knew how to stand together.
Now, when we talk about our supply chain, we don’t just list facts—we tell stories about how we can pivot quickly to meet urgent orders, or how our quality control process ensures every umbrella is built to last. When clients reach out, our team moves as one, from initial inquiry to final delivery.

Equipped with these valuable learnings and a more cohesive team, we confidently stepped back onto the global exhibition stage, going on to participate in trade shows in Germany and Brazil one after another.
2023 German Exhibition Review: Forging Ahead with Preparation
At the German exhibition, we’d put in thorough prep: sending out custom invitations to clients well in advance, planning every detail of the booth layout to highlight our umbrellas, and prepping for smooth client meetings.
Yet we hit unexpected snags—the actual booth size didn’t match our plans, throwing off the entire product display layout and leaving our setup looking disjointed. We had no choice but to rearrange the booth on the spot, rushing to adjust the placement of every umbrella and display stand against the clock. To make things harder, some pre-invited clients missed our meetings due to conflicting schedules.
It was a sharp reminder that pulling off a flawless exhibition is far more challenging than it seems on paper.
The unexpected mismatch of booth size at the Cologne Exhibition made us deeply realize: a good product must not only stand the test of careful planning, but also adapt to the unique needs of each land. Brazil, a country embraced by tropical charm, has long transcended the basic function of "sunshade" in its expectations for outdoor umbrellas—it needs to be a striking highlight at beach parties, a comfortable companion for courtyard naps, an artistic symbol on homestay terraces, and more importantly, able to withstand coastal gusts and scorching sunlight.
We conducted in-depth research on Brazil's living scenarios and aesthetic preferences, drew color inspiration from the vibrant atmosphere of Rio's beaches, captured design details from the bohemian culture of Bahia, and perfectly integrated practical functions with local customs to create a series of outdoor umbrellas that truly understand Brazil.
From dragging our suitcases to the exhibition halls under the scorching sun, to forging ahead against all odds in the heavy snow, the trials and travels of numerous overseas exhibitions have endowed us with the confidence and experience to deepen our roots in the global market.
To live up to every bit of our hard work, we’ve extended our exhibition preparation timeline further and further: polishing every invitation email repeatedly, refining every detail of the invitation cards; designing the 3D renderings of our booths with meticulous research, screening and optimizing every page of our product catalogs(Hotel & Homestay Umbrellas Catalog and Full Range Umbrellas) layer by layer; even preparing free ice cream at the summer exhibition halls to bring a touch of coolness to our clients.
All our thoughtful preparations boil down to one simple wish – to get one more chance to be known, and let our products be seen by more people around the world.
At the 2025 Cologne Exhibition, we learned from past experiences and created a 3D render of our booth in advance to ensure a smooth on-site setup.
In our product selection strategy, we decisively moved away from small umbrellas and focused on large commercial umbrellas to demonstrate our technical strength and product quality.
Most innovatively, we hung a rattan egg chair under one of our large commercial umbrellas. This not only created a warm and inviting atmosphere beneath the umbrella, but also visually showcased its excellent load-bearing capacity and stability to every visitor.

Our booth, perfectly built from the 3D renderings, came to life offline and immediately drew a crowd of customers. They flocked to try the hanging chair under the umbrella and were amazed by the product's exceptional quality and load-bearing capacity.

When this client traveled across continents to visit us in China, carrying the positive impression of our products from the exhibition, we knew all our hard work had paid off. The days we dragged suitcases under the scorching sun, the nights we refined 3D booth renderings, and the effort we put into every detail at each exhibition had all built the foundation for this moment of trust.
From the first awe-struck reaction to our large commercial umbrellas on the show floor, to sitting across the table signing a formal order, this cross-border partnership is not just a testament to our product quality and supply chain reliability—it’s a reminder that every interaction at an exhibition plants a seed for the future.
